World Mental Health Day 2023
East Sussex College acknowledges the significance of promoting awareness and emphasising the importance of mental health ahead of World Mental Health Day 2023 (10th October).
World Mental Health Day 2023 provides a chance for individuals and communities to come together under the theme ‘Mental health is a universal human right.’ This important day of awareness aims to develop understanding, increase awareness and inspire initiatives that foster and safeguard the mental wellbeing of all, acknowledging it as a fundamental human right.
East Sussex College remains committed to supporting students and staff year-round, extending beyond World Mental Health Day. In 2022, the College solidified this commitment by becoming a Mental Health Committed Employer through the Workplace Mental Health Charter, vowing to prioritise mental health awareness in the workplace.
The role of the Wellbeing Team at the College is also vital. They support students with any issues they may be facing during their time at college. Wellbeing mentors can offer practical support and advice to those struggling with more challenging issues. Find out more about the ESC Wellbeing Team here.
