We are officially on the countdown to Christmas

For many Christmas is a time with friends and family, laughter and happiness, whilst on the other hand, for some Christmas can bring up challenges and struggles.

Below you will see festive events happening at our campuses, as well as different support and advice lines for those struggling this December.

We are marking Christmas Jumper Day on Thursday 12th Dec, as well as raising funds and collecting donations for our chosen charities, more below.

This year, we’ll be fundraising and collecting donations for Warming Up the Homeless in Hastings and Eastbourne, and Lewes Open Door in Lewes, both charities supporting the homeless. We’ll also be sharing these items with students and staff in need—dry food, clothes, and other helpful items are much appreciated. See below for a list of suggested donations!

Ore Valley Campus

On December 10th from 10am to 1pm, we will be hosting a festive fair in aid of raising funds and collecting items for Warming Up The Homeless (please see the section below to find out more).
We will be running things like a raffle, pool tournament, tombola, and everyone’s favourite hot drinks stall! There will be lots that you could win, from vouchers for things like Pizza hut, and Crazy golf, as well as a chance to win a delicious cheesecake!
All of this for a small cash donation to take part in the activities, and 100% of the proceeds going to WUTH.
Lewes Campus

🎤 Sing your heart out with Christmas karaoke! 🏎️ Race to victory in our Mario Kart league! 🎨 Get creative at our festive crafting station! ☕ Warm up with hot chocolate, 🍿 popcorn, and 🍕 pizza while soaking up the holiday vibes!

Station Plaza Campus

This Tuesday at Station Plaza, we raised a significant amount of money to help Warm Up The Homeless! It was a wonderful day full of activities and learning about the charity. We had a tombola with all prizes claimed, a raffle, and a "guess the weight of the cake" game. Which the kitchen generously donated cooked and donated!
A special congratulations to Cal Balchin, who won the snooker competition!
We’re excited to announce that we’ll be doing something similar at Ore Next Tuesday 10/12/2024 10:30am-1:30 pm, with the addition of gingerbread decorating for all to enjoy!
Eastbourne Campus

In Eastbourne, we are collecting donations for Warming Up the Homeless. If you are in need of support yourself, be it staff or student, please speak to your Tutor, the Wellbeing Team or your Manager to help you access this help.
We will be hosting out Christmas Movie which is The Muppets Chirstmas Carol. There will be cakes, candyfloss and drinks - all for Free for those who stay to watch the film!
