STUDENT GOVERNOR ELECTION
Would you like to learn more about how the College is run? Can you help to ensure that the student voice is at the heart of decision making? Do you want to learn new & transferable skills?
Then you might want to think about becoming a Student Governor. Student Governors play an essential and valuable role in bringing their perspective and experience to the Board’s thinking. Full training and support will be provided.
We currently have two Student Governor vacancies – one at Lewes and one at Eastbourne.
The recruitment timeline is as follows:
Student Governor nominations to be submitted online by midday on 15th November 2024.
If there are more nominations than available roles, an election process would be triggered via secret ballot (online form) and would close by 29th November 2024.
Nominees may be invited to meet with the Director of Governance to their confirm eligibility and discuss roles/responsibilities.
New Student Governors will be in post in time for the 12th December 2024 Board meeting, following an induction session with the Director of Governance.

EASTBOURNE COUNCIL CONSULTATION
Have your say on council savings proposals
Eastbourne Borough Council has launched a consultation over proposed reductions and changes to a range of its discretionary services.
These are services the council is not required by law to deliver - unlike statutory services, such as housing and refuse collection, which must be provided.
The consultation runs until 5pm on Thursday 31st October.
