Student notice October 7th

County Lines

On October 21st, The theatre performance of the project ‘CountyLines’ is coming to Ore Valley!

It warns students of the dangers of getting involved in County Lines and also explains how they could safeguard themselves going forward.

Over the years it has proved to be an excellent way to ensure students gain an understanding of the dangers of getting involved in drug dealing, how grooming can take place, and where they can get help if they are targeted. It also shows the College’s commitment to safeguarding students and raising awareness of current issues that could affect the lives of students and those in the community.

World Mental Health Day

World Mental Health Day is about raising awareness of mental health and driving positive change for everyone’s mental health. To raise awareness, we ask that staff and students come in wearing something yellow on Thursday 10 October (World Mental Health Day) as a part of the ‘Hello Yellow’ campaign by Young Minds to show young people they’re not alone with their mental health. We also have Xtrax in and wellbeing to run stalls on the day as well so be sure to chat to them in your break.
