International Men’s Day event

Coming up is International Men’s Day which is focused on Men’s Health Champions which will help shine a spotlight on both the problems of men’s health and the people delivering the solutions, with the help of four sub-themes:

From 10:30am to 1:30pm on Tuesday 19th, we will be having A Band of Brothers (providing the support people need to make the transition to an adulthood free of crime, and filled with a sense of belonging, connection and purpose) and Project Rewild (providing opportunities to get outside, connect with nature, protect the environment, and thrive together) coming in to run stalls, as well as Claire from wellbeing running the popular Cuppa and Chat Stall!

Lunch time Sports

Starting this Tuesday and Thursday 12:15-1:15pm, we will be hosting casual sports for students to take part in. It will be on the MUGA and ran by Skiltek. Any inquiries, please email myself at kieron.pierce@escg.ac.uk

White Ribbon Day

Coming up on November 25th is White Ribbon Day, During this time people are asked to come together to help end violence against women and girls by encouraging men to hold themselves accountable to women, and to each other, so we can affect positive behavior change to transform harmful cultures.

Safe Drive, Stay Alive

On November 25th, we will be hosting a Safe Drive Stay Alive session, which seeks to provide an educational experience that teaches young people not only the dangers but also the consequences, of poor and dangerous driving.

To book in, please email Pauline Greig via Pauline.Greig@escg.ac.uk or students can self refer by talking to their Wellbeing Mentor or dropping into the Wellbeing office on the second floor.

Warming up the homeless

This year we are planning on raising awareness and supporting a charity called warming up the homeless which is based in Hastings, Bexhill, and Eastbourne. In December we will be looking for anyone that has items on the list in the picture that could go to WUTH and help. We will also be looking for a day where we will be fundraising for the charity.

Keep an eye out for further updates, and please have a look at their website here - Warming Up The Homeless |
