Hastings Student Notices
This term has been filled with important events and initiatives aimed at raising awareness and making a difference. We celebrated Movember, focusing on men's mental health, and White Ribbon Day to show our commitment to ending men's violence against women. We had our AMAZING Remembrance Parade, honored and learned about World AIDS Day, and marked Anti-Bullying Week. We raised lots of money for Warming Up The Homeless and are still celebrating Disability Awareness Month.
In addition to these meaningful activities, we introduced a new VR Club, offering an exciting way to engage with technology. We're also thrilled to announce the return of Table Tennis (along with other activities) every Tuesday from 11-1 in GO18 until the end of the year, providing even more opportunities to stay active and have fun.
Through these events, we aimed to deepen your understanding of these important issues while also offering opportunities for you to have fun and engage with meaningful causes.
Below is this weeks notice & this weeks events.
Written by Paige-Marie Baker-Carroll, the new Student Experience Coordinator at Station Plaza.
Last Tuesday at Station Plaza, we raised a significant amount of money to help Warm Up The Homeless! It was a wonderful day full of activities and learning about the charity. We had a tombola with all prizes claimed, a raffle, and a "guess the weight of the cake" game. Which the kitchen generously donated cooked and donated!
A special congratulations to Cal Balchin, who won the snooker competition!
We’re excited to announce that we’ll be doing something similar at Ore Next Tuesday 10/12/2024 10:30 am-1:30 pm, with the addition of gingerbread decorating for all to enjoy! If you'd like to help Warm Up The Homeless but aren't sure where to start, please watch the video below for guidance.
