What is going well / Who needs praise?

• Students feel confidence in their teachers because teachers show excellent subject knowledge and are very helpful with assignments

• There have already been opportunities to on trips/visits, and had guest speakers come to the college

• The teachers have helped to develop a good classroom environment, whereby students have made new friends

• Lessons are well taught, lots of interaction between teachers and students

• On track with assignment despite 1 teacher down, feedback has been completed by Sam with what they need to do for future assignments

• You feel that teaching, learning and assessment for exams has been good and you have had additional lessons and mocks to help you prepare.

• You like your lessons and find these are generally more interactive.

What could we do better?

You Said: We would like to know what assignments we have on at the moment, and to be able to see what else we have coming out to us

We Have: Asked tutors in weekly tutorial sessions to clearly communicate what assignments are due in the next 2 weeks. We will also populate a student friendly assignment handout/schedule and share it on GC

You Said: You would like better support for exam, and a consistent teacher in place.

We Have: Worked hard this year to ensure staff gaps have been filled. We now have two teachers in UPS with all students on course to complete the course in time. We will look at support for exams next year, however mocks were provided for students with feedback given. In addition, resources were provided to help students prepare for the exam.

You Said: You would like more communication in advance if lessons are to be cancelled.

We Have: Posted messages on GC as soon as any lessons might be collapsed due to staff illness and no cover being available.
