Students take on England Football Trials

Seven promising football talents from East Sussex College recently had the honour of participating in trials for England.

Students take on England Football TrialsLast week (26th October), seven Sport students, both male and female, took part in England football trials in St Albans. Reuben Martin, Armandas Briedis, Finley Chapman, Jack Dalton, Holly Carter, Annabel Worcester and Tianna Tapp were the students involved in the opening stages of the trials.

The students, whose exceptional talent has led them to being invited to the trials, seized the opportunity to demonstrate their talents on the national stage.

This was a fantastic chance for students to showcase their abilities and the trials marked a significant milestone in their footballing journeys, opening doors to new opportunities. The next phase of trials gets underway in the second weekend of November.

The continued success of ESC’s sport students is a testament to the College’s blossoming football programme in partnership with Skiltek Sport. It highlights the commitment to nurturing and developing emerging sports talents in the local area.

Georgia Townsend, Football Coach at East Sussex College and Skiltek Sport, said, “The students were nominated by college coaches after impressing at training and through matches. It was a great day for the students to showcase themselves against some of the top players in the region. All students enjoyed their experience and battled well throughout the trials. They should all be proud of themselves for being nominated to represent East Sussex College.”
