Sussex Police’s online survey on violence against women and girls
Sussex Police’s online survey on violence against women and girls (VAWG) is open until February 18: Violence against women and girls – understanding your experiences | Sussex Police.
In 2021, Sussex Police shared a survey to find out the lived experiences of violence against women and girls, to understand what more we can do, alongside our partners, to help protect them.
The feedback received led to the police introducing a number of initiatives to improve its service, including:
A multi-agency victim hub to support victims
A team of bespoke domestic abuse investigators
Extra dedicated patrols
Schemes with partner to help women feel safer on nights out such as Night Safety Marshals, taxi marshals and beach patrol.
The survey is open again, to find out where and how the force can do more, with the aim of making Sussex safer for everyone.
Sussex Police is asking people to take part in the anonymous survey, by sharing their experiences and to also share the survey with friends, families, and networks, to reach as many women in Sussex as possible.
If participants are affected by the questions asked within the survey, support is available through Safe:Space Sussex (safespacesussex.org.uk).
