GAMBLING AWARENESS
Thursday 18th April - Tutor Booked
Gambling is when people risk money or anything of value to predict the outcome of a game involving chance, such as on scratchcards or fruit machines, or by betting with friends. If you predict the outcome correctly, you win money. If you’re wrong, you lose the money you gambled.
In general, the minimum legal age for gambling in the UK is 18 years old.
GamCare and BigDeal
Gambling may not have been explained to you at school, and it may not be something you talk to your parents about. BigDeal, give you the facts about gambling, so you can make informed choices in the future. They also offer confidential support on the phone or via live chat, so if you’re worried about anything related to gambling, why not take a weight off your mind and get in touch.
