“Neurodivergence isn't a Mental Health Problem” Webinar
For too many years, neurodivergence has gone hand in hand with ideas of deficit and disadvantage, particularly when it comes to mental health. It is true that many neurodivergent people do have co-occurring mental health problems. However, these may be caused by the factors that often exist alongside neurodivergence – such as stigma, lack of acceptance, lack of accommodation, meeting societal expectations and so on.

Neurodivergent & LGBTQIA+: The 'Double Rainbow' Intersection 🌈🌈 Webinar
This NCW event celebrates people who are both LGBTQIA+ and Neurodivergent; an intersection often referred to as the ‘double rainbow’ because we fall into two spectrums, both of which use rainbow imagery.
There is a strong correlation between neurodivergence and LGBTQIA+ and we are unfortunately at much higher risk of discrimination, bullying, and suicide. This needs to change!

Living Library Event
A Living Library is full of information and stories, like a normal library.
The difference is that, instead of borrowing a book, you can “borrow a human” to hear from them directly.
It’s a chance to learn about another person’s experience of the world or find out about their special interests. It is a chance to talk to someone you wouldn’t normally meet. Maybe it will even change your perception of them.
An Introduction to Neurodiversity Webinar
This webinar will provide an introduction to neurodiversity and specific neurodifferences for those new to the topic. It will raise awareness about the value neurodiversity can bring to society and equip you to better understand and support neurodivergent family members, friends and colleagues. It will also provide a good foundation of knowledge to help you get the most out of the panel events taking place throughout Neurodiversity Celebration Week.
