World Mental Health Day

Wellbeing team

Did we enjoy World Mental Health Day? Absolutely!

We celebrated World Mental Health Day on Wednesday, October 9th, and Thursday, October 10th 2024. On Wednesday, we hosted a range of activities, including a visit from Animal Magic, which brought in a variety of adorable animals like puppies and baby ducks. Many of you even had the chance to hold an owl! It was wonderful to see so many engaging in meaningful conversations with the charities and organisations that joined us.

On Thursday, we celebrated Hello Yellow by wearing yellow and making donations. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, filled with hot drinks, biscuits, and games. We also enjoyed a variety of activities led by the wellbeing team.

Thank you for making the day special! Don’t forget to keep an eye on My Student Life and get involved as much as you can. We want you to make the most of your time at East Sussex College! If you have any feedback, come find Paige-Marie Baker-Carroll in Student Central—she’s always looking to improve and bring you the best events!

To the left and below, you can see some pictures from World Mental Health Day. Below is Julie Jones—if you’d like any careers advice, go chat with her! She’ll either be in the office next to Costa or in Student Central. As someone new here, she is very warm and welcoming, so don’t hesitate to reach out!
