NEURODIVERSITY WEEK

Our fantastic ALS Team will be asking students to write their experiences and tips for students who are neurodivergent onto a large tree. This will be up throghout the week between the Library and Tyler House.

The Library Team will also have a collection of books on display which you can check out around the topic.

RAMADAN

This year, Ramadan is expected to begin on Monday 11th March 2024, and end on the evening of Tuesday 9th April 2024, depending on the sighting of the moon.

Muslims celebrate the arrival of the blessed month of Ramadan, which offers the opportunity for purification, a re-evaluation of one’s life, and the chance to draw closer to Allah.

During Ramadan, healthy adult Muslims fast from dawn until dusk. They also engage in additional acts of worship such as optional prayers, reading the Qu’ran and sending salutations (salawat) upon the Prophet Muhammad (SAW), as well as increasing their Islamic knowledge.

END OF YEAR EVENT

Planning for the End of Year event has begun, and we are forming a student committee to help shape the event.

If you would like to join the committee, please sign up with the form.

This form will close on Thursday 14th March.

THE BIG PLASTIC COUNT

Greenpeace have organised the Big Plastic Count and have asked if students can get involved as individuals.

By counting all the plastic you throw away for a week, you can help gather the vital evidence we need to convince UK ministers, supermarkets and big brands to lead the way at global talks that could finally phase out plastic production for good.

If you would like to sign up please click the link here: Sign up | The Big Plastic Count
