How are we already coming to the end of January? We have loads on offer over the coming few weeks for you to take advantage, so please do make the most of it.

Health & Wellbeing Event

Even with a ‘new year, new me’ mentality we still need to make sure we are looking after ourselves both physically and mentally. You can find out more information by clicking here.

Our Time To Talk Day sessions will be highlighted during our Health and Wellbeing events, however, we will also be encouraging students to go to mystudentlife.co.uk/timetotalkday and look at the advice and take part in the activities.

On Thursday 1st February, Health and Wellbeing events will be at our Station Plaza campus in The Atrium from 10:30am.

Some stall holders include;

  • East Sussex Health Service

  • iPro Hydrate

  • iRock

  • Mind

  • Ninja Warrior

  • Freedom Leisure

  • and more!

We shall also be holding Financial Wellbeing Workshops in collaboration with Nationwide on these days which you will be able to book onto here.


World Cancer Day

World Cancer Day is celebrated globally on the 4th February, so that everyone can come together on the same day every year to take steps against cancer. Its aims are to prevent millions of deaths by raising awareness and educating people about cancer and its affects.

We are encouraging students to make sure they are checking for signs of cancer. We have more information on how to do this on mystudentlife.co.uk/world-cancer-day



NHS Peer Coaching Workshops

WOULD YOU LIKE £30 LOVETOSHOP VOUCHERS?

We are looking for young people aged 16-19yrs to be peer health coaches.

You will receive two training sessions where you will learn the "making every contact count" approach to behaviour change techniques; this will take place at East Sussex College, and in return, you will be given a Love2Shop Voucher for your attendance at (and) participation in the event on the 6th March.

What you need to do:

• Attend two teaching sessions

• Attend the college Health and wellbeing event on the 6th March and give advice to your peers.

Next Student Voice Meeting

Just a reminder for all those involved in Student Voice that our next meeting will be the 28th February 2024 at 12:30pm in SP0.18.

Time To Talk

As part of our Health and Wellbeing events, we shall be encouraing students to talk! We know for many this can be a challenge, so we want to create a culture and atmosphere of honesty.
